MY STORY

I'M MEGIJA!

I am a passionate photographer based in Riga, Latvia — and photography has been my life's calling from the very beginning. Growing up surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Baltic landscape, I was drawn to the way a single image can hold an entire lifetime of feeling. That fascination never left me.

I started Leimia Studio because I believed that everyone deserves photographs that make them feel truly seen. Not posed. Not performative. Real — the kind of images that bring back the exact warmth of a moment, the sound of laughter, the nervousness of a first glance, the joy of a milestone celebrated.

My work is shaped by the unique beauty of Riga. The cobblestone streets of the Old Town catch the afternoon light in a way that no other city does. The Art Nouveau facades on Alberta Street frame couples like they're living inside a painting. The Baltic Sea at dusk turns golden and still — the perfect backdrop for a quiet, intimate moment.

I have spent years studying light, emotion, and storytelling through a lens. I've worked with couples arriving from all over Europe, families on holiday, solo travelers making memories, and young couples planning their weddings. Every session brings something new — and that's what makes this work so extraordinary.

My approach is always personal and collaborative. Before every session, I take time to understand who you are, what makes you laugh, what makes you nervous — and I use that understanding to create a relaxed, natural environment where the real you can shine.

I believe the best photographs happen between the posed ones. When you forget I'm there. When you whisper something to your partner and they burst into laughter. When a child runs toward you with open arms. Those are the frames I live for.

I am also deeply committed to the craft behind the image — understanding natural and artificial light, mastering composition, and investing in post-processing that makes each photo feel timeless without feeling over-edited. The goal is always authenticity with elegance.

Whether you're visiting Riga for a weekend or planning an intimate wedding in the heart of Old Town, I will be by your side with my camera, ready to capture every beautiful detail of your story.
